Our Mission Statement is an overt attempt to share with everyone the nature and intent of this particular church community: "We are a people of faith who are strongly committed to proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ to all and to live as a caring fellowship - praying, loving, teaching and living in ways that make a difference in the lives of our community."

We are indeed grounded in our belief that the reality of what Jesus Christ has done for all of humanity is good news that is to be shared in every way possible with everyone we meet in our daily circle of activity. We believe that sharing the good news of Jesus Christ takes many forms; one of which is living our daily lives in a manner which makes the extravagant love of Jesus Christ apparent to everyone.

First and foremost, we think of ourselves in terms of a united body of Christ - a cohesive church community - rather than a collection of individuals. We pray with each other and for each other, and for those in our surrounding community. We love each other through acts of hospitality and seek to extend that same love to those who live in our surrounding community. We allow the Holy Spirit to guide us in such a way that we are used as instruments of discernment and instruction amongst each other with respect to biblical knowledge. We do all of this as a tangible means of nurturing, encouraging, and supporting each other as we continue to seek deeper relationship with the ultimate source of such blessings - Jesus Christ.

We take seriously our divinely anointed task to love God with all of our heart, and with all of our soul, and with all our strength and with all our mind - and to love our neighbor as we love each other. We sincerely desire to make a difference in our surrounding community, not just serve as a place for like-minded people to gather on Sunday mornings. Our Growing Tree Day Care and our Community Food Pantry are just two examples of ways that we strive to address the spiritual and practical needs of our surrounding community.
